Proposed project: A simple one legged table like structure which will be planted near bus stops or places which are used as bus stops, community parks etc. in and around Noida.

The table will be made out of wood and the top of the table would have a game, like snakes n ladder/ludo/chess/puzzle etc. printed/pasted on it, with the dices n all provided.

One English and Hindi newspaper, employment paper/kidz newspaper etc. will also be made available on the table everyday.

The table also offer an open letter box..(the box will be a tiny 6”*6” transparent acrylic cube).People around can write messages, thoughts etc. on a piece/sheet of paper and put it in the box provided (or can write at the table) which could be read or replied by anyone who is interested.

Sub Projects: In addition to being attached with the tables at the bus stops etc. the open Letter Boxes will also be kept in toilets of few institutions or organizations.(office, educational institutions etc.)

The games pasted on the table tops can also be directly pasted on park benches, bus stop benches etc.(this is where my project will start from)

Outreach n participation with other KVR participants: Every one is invited to use the table as well as the limited space on/in n around the table in anyway they want to eg. Using it as a support for a plant to grow and then pruning n trimming it in a whacky shape…or building a fish tank around it.

Why? The simple structure with a whacky appearance offers ways to kill time, breaks the monotony of the area atleast visually, and provides infotainment, fun and amusement (a part of the project focuses on the kids, since I’ll be selecting the bus stops which are near govt. schools …and parks situated in housing colonies)
